Breeder: Gareth Fryer
This breed wowed the luminaries of the rose world with its extraordinary colour. The outer petals are nectarine-bronze while the inner petals show a strong golden tone. Like all modern descendants of Pernetianas this rose is a true chameleon, with the colour influenced by a bevy of factors including age, temperature and humidity. In addition it has a very strong scent that can, dependant on humidity, carry for some distance. Considering its class this rose is quite cold resistant, dealing admirably with -15 degrees centigrade and east wind. Nevertheless it is recommended to provide at least some basic winter-protection during the colder months.
